Initially, Undiksha Singaraja is the institution which has been known by the name of Singaraja, the former State Teachers' Training College is the institution of courses B1 Indonesian Language (1955).
Two years later, opened the course B1 Commerce. And five years later, they merged into the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) which is under the auspices of the University of Airlangga, Surabaya.
When the University of Udayana standing, FKIP was released from Airlangga University, became one of the faculty at Udayana University, Denpasar.
Later FKIP were transferred into the name given by IKIP Malang Malang branch IKIP Singaraja.

An Institution of Higher Education that was developed based on the quality of Pancasila and the 1945 Basic Law, which upholds the values of humanity, yielding Education Workforce Education and Non-Workers who devoted to the god the Almighty, has the academic ability of high-professional, develop science, technology, and art so as to face the future and meet the needs of the community. MISSION:
Organizing tridarma college effectively and efficiently, at the level of S0 and Non-Education Education, Post Graduate S1 and in quality, moral Pancasila, so the results have received high competitiveness and the global community.
In detail, the mission formulated as follows:
1. Produce human resources capable of human suberdaya academic and profesional that meet state and nation building, both in terms of kuantits, quality or type and morality.
2. Facilitate assessment, comprehension, application, and development of science and technology, both by citizens who are trained and educated in the campus environment as well as by the industry and practitioners outside the campus.
3. Facilitate assessment, comprehension, application, and development of educational science soaial sciences and humanities for the citizens who are educated and trained li campus environment in addition to promoting the culture and improve the quality of human life.
4. Cirri develop a subculture with innovative, effective, and efficient, both internally and externally.
5. Provide education and training pre-and in office for the citizens that need in various areas of expertise and skills required, both by the job market and the development of nation and state.
6. Produce and publish the findings and innovations in science and technology education and non education is useful for development of nation and state.
7. Creating and developing mutually beneficial cooperation with various universities, businesses and industries, both within and d iluar country, in addition to the relevant government agencies
